Public Comments

The Board appreciates and desires the public to be actively involved in the oversight and monitoring process. The various ways for the public to submit comments is listed below. In addition, comments that have been made by the public and agencies may be viewed below.

NOTE: When an individual chooses to submit a Formal Filing, a Recordation, an Environmental Comment, or some Other Submissions, his or her personal contact information is considered public information and is shared within and outside of the Board without additional authorization.

  • Board - Surface Transportation Board
  • CN - Canadian National Railway Company and Grand Trunk Corporation
  • EIS - Environmental Impact Statement
  • EJ&E - Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railway Company
  • NEPA - National Environmental Policy Act
  • SEA - Section of Environmental Analysis (an office within the Board)
